$70,000 – $90,000 per year

We’re seeking an Operations and Administration Officer to play a key role in managing and improving the firm’s operational processes. This position is ideal for someone with solid accounting knowledge who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and helping teams work efficiently.
You’ll use your accounting background to support the smooth flow of work across the firm—ensuring client engagements are managed effectively, deadlines are met, and systems are optimised for performance and accuracy.
This is not a traditional tax-preparation role - instead, it’s an opportunity to apply your accounting knowledge in a strategic, systems-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and coordinate workflow across the firm’s accounting and advisory teams.
· Monitor job progress, deadlines, and client deliverables using practice management systems.
· Develop and refine internal procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
· Assist with reporting, capacity planning, and workload forecasting.
· Liaise between accounting staff, partners, and administrative teams to resolve process issues.
· Support the implementation and optimisation of accounting software and workflow tools.
· Develop and enhance customer relationship skills.
· Be proactive and a valued contributing member of the team.
Ideal Candidate
· Degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Strong understanding of accounting processes, documentation, and compliance principles.
· Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
· Proactive communicator who enjoys streamlining operations and improving systems.
· Experience with accounting practice management software (e.g. Microsoft Office, FYI, Xero, Class Super, and Business Fitness Active) ) is highly regarded.
· Ideal for someone from an accounting background looking to move into a firm operations or management pathway.
